Friends =)

So last night I had a great time catching up with a beautiful young woman who I'm privileged to call a friend from my old church. We had a great chat of hearing about what each other is up to etc and inevitably, we ended up talking about alot of the same things we talked about the last time we caught up ... =p HAHA!!!

Amanda was there right at the beginning of my journey from Salvos to Shakers and all that's happened since then. She knows all about my prayer I prayed not long after I started getting involved at Shakers and that the whole thing is still in discussion between the two of us (with which we laugh about constantly!).

I'm truly in awe of my God and in these last couple of weeks have been reminded that people are in your life for a season, reason or lifetime. Those only a couple of months ago I thought were for a season, are actually a reason and others I thought for a longer season are at this stage, seemingly going to quite possibly be a lifetime. (And those I thought for a lifetime, well, some are actually only for a reason). Through all this, I've come to realise that just as the word 'love' is used so casually these days, so is the term 'friends'. Those I thought were friends, are actually only acquaintances, and those who I thought were only going to be acquaintances are actually becoming really great friends.

Still amazingly, I am falling more and more in love with the God who created me because not only is He patient with me ... =p but He's showing me things beyond what I could comprehend initially.

I still desperately miss being with my family back in Singapore and Malaysia - only time will reveal what will happen, I just need to remain focussed on today, what is in my hand, and do all that God has called me to!!!
