Seasons

We all go through seasons

Some short

Some not so short

Then there the seasons where nothing makes sense

Pretty sure all of the above sounds familiar!

I'm still trying to determine this season I'm in - sometimes it frustrates me like nobody's business, but mostly, I know there is a purpose and I must do this season well!

A very well known verse is Heb 12:1 which says:
AMP - THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us.

We need to persist in this season, ENDURE (gee, where have I heard this term before) and stay on course!!!

I was thrown off course today - quite literally when I ran into someone on a tram who I haven't seen in a couple of years. I got off the tram and instead of going left to the bank, I walked straight and eventually to Bourke Street mall & eventually QV - not where I had intended at all to go. My friend and I seem to lose touch and then reconnect and when we reconnect it is as if no time has passed.
Wrong timing has followed us around (or more to the point, God kept closing the door!) and our friendship was the better for it. We have a very strong connection which I must admit I have not had to this day. If the world was the way I would have it, our relationship would be far different to what it is now!

God reminded me that I am on course to be blessed like nothing else, the enemy will use situations to get me off track and distract me from what GOD wants and calls me to do. God uses situations to our benefit and that His name will be glorified.

So I need to keep persisting in and through this season. It will end one day and a new season will unfold.
