The weekend review

So what has the weekend revealed? Apart from the fact that I'm super slack ... it was an AMAZING weekend!

Friday night we celebrated Elina's birthday which was HEAPS cool. We went to a little pizza place, then back to my place (which can I say, is awesome that I live near the city and people can actually come back to hang out ... still pinching myself in a way that I'm actually living in Carlton ... :p!) and just chilled. Sneakily, Sue Lynn stayed back at Brunetti's to buy a cake for Elina, we all went to gelati but then I went home to prepare ... AKA TO CLEAN!!! We left the cake upstairs when everyone arrived and then we brought it down. Her response was great, so surprised!!! Then after all that, we watched Iron Monkey ... I know, couldn't believe we all actually stayed (k, well I had to as it's my place!) but seriously, it's not that great a movie but i think we were all pretty tired by the end of the night :p!

Then Saturday rolls around - literally, and I head off to netball. Not a long day thankfully as the last game finishes at 3.15 p.m., one of the few times I will get an early mark =). Saturday night was kept busy with cleaning ... oh the joy :p (although I must admit, I quite like doing the house stuff ... hmm, will keep that under wraps me think!). As I sat down extremely late on Saturday night to do my assignment, I felt prompted to watch a dvd from Colour Conference from 2005. Ps Donna Crouch was preaching and I was so totally inspired - for my ushering team the next day :p!!

So, will not much done for my assignment but a burning word for my team Sunday approaches!

In the morning, I head to Camberwell market with Phaiks & Jon ... a relaxing morning and a great time to just wander - was EXTREMELY restrained and managed to not buy anything!! That, an achievement in itself! Then I dropped the two of them off and headed to church.

Oh my goodness, such a powerful powerful day. I met with my leaders and we went over some stuff and then had a good prayer meet to set the atmosphere for the team as they arrived. We got everything done and then I shared with the team from Luke 8:1-3 and basically shared with them that we need to want more of Him, no matter our past ... more of Him in all that we do. Then we had a totally phenomenal prayer meeting and finished off with a worship song.

My team ARE THE BEST!

They served and totally made the night for me. I am so super super blessed and privileged to be leading this team of hungry people, it so rubs off on me and so thankful for that!

After the service, i went with my urbs to Malay Mas to celebrate another birthday. It was great, heaps of fun and I am seriously in awe of all that He is leading me to!

I love my friends, I love the new friends that I'll be meeting and most importantly, I love God. I'm starting to get the inkling that things are shifting, and as much as that starts to get me a little nervous, it also fills me with such excitement as I have NO idea what is around the corner =)

God so totally rocks!
