To endure - not really a phrase we get excited about
To endure a marathon (or a fun run!)
To endure through an illness
To endure through a situation involving family / friends
Hmm, so it begs the question - what does endure mean?
Collins - to bear (hardship) patiently, to last for a long time
Dictionary.com - to hold out against; sustain without impairment or yielding; undergo
So basically - to outlast the situation!!
2 Tim 2:3 NLT "Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus"
The enemy is trying to distract me & get me to give up, pack it in - not to last the distance.
I say to the enemy bler because my God, my Father, my best friend is so in control and with His strength & wisdom, I will OUTLAST any problems he tries to throw my way! He's trying to give me sickness and situations to distract me - nice try but AIN'T going to work!
This morning I seriously was thinking the day could not get worse (and this was 815am!) and therefore I pressed deeper into God and while speaking to Him in my prayer language, I felt a shift, like a blanket had been taken off me - I truly believe that God put me on someone's heart and that they prayed for me - so thank you whoever you are. God intervened near the corner of William and Bourke street & totally changed my day around.
It's now the weekend and a new set of challenges no doubt await for me when I awake but meh, my God is bigger than anything that will unfold. I'm excited, I have no idea what is going to happen but I know that my God has already gone before me and He is guiding me each step of the way - I just need to continue to hold on, seek Him, lean into Him and OUTLAST anything the enemy tries to throw my way to get me off track.
xoxo
